Question about Overlay Track

Post by alstar »

Hi Guys,

I have a question about the overlay track in VS, I hope I am able to explain what I have in mind...

I have shot a small clip of myself decribing one of my favorite movies which I have placed in the overlay track and on the Main Video Track I have a clipping of the movie I am describing now evrything works well but I want it to look more natural which is that I want my image to blend with the background of my main video clip which is playing and not look as if thy are 2 different clips.

I have shot my clip agaisnt a white background which shows when I describe my favorite movie scene. in short what I am trying to say is that is there a way the 2 video can look seem-less and my video in the overlay track can blend with the main video track ??

I hope I am clear on what I want.. :-)

Alter the transparency or use the chroma key function (or both!)

the key is to shoot your self infront of a background of a colour you are not wearing/look like.

Colours similar to your hair, eyes, skintone etc etc should not be used for background.

White is not a good option for chroma keying.
