Sorry my friend, I talked to Corel and it was really a Pro version T&B, but they had to withdraw it because it has too many bugs. Will be available soon.
But now I know that all changes compare to WinDVD Plus 9 BD are only cosmetical.
"Lite" version is only part of the Corel Digital Studio™ suite T&B.
Regards

They changed the zoom feature as well. It is no longer in the user interface. you now have to use keyboard commands to access pan and zoom. Zoom is now done in fixed increments of 150% and 200%. No more arbitrary zoom as in WinDVD9.
While the All2HD and Digital motion compensation work great in Vista and Windows 7. The Digital motion compensation doesn't seem to work well under Windows XP. I haven't noticed a difference between ALL2HD in WINDVD9 and WINDVD2010. In fact I haven't noticed any visual or audio enhancements between WINDVD9 and WINDVD 2010. WINDVD2010 appears to have a few more options for Digital audio output though.
They also took out the AB repeat from WINDVD9.
The audio technologies like Dolby Pro Logic II and Neo DTS6 don't seem to work in Windows7 either.
The program appears to be slightly more stable than WinDVD9 unless you are trying to flip between All2HD and Hardware acceleration, then anything can happen.
Oh and the interface is pretty?
Basically if you already have WINDVD9 I can't recommend upgrading to WINDVD2010 but if you have WINDVD8 or lower or if you really like the new interface and its integration with Aero then it might be worth it.
I can't speak for Blu-ray because I don't have it yet.

your analysis seems quite right. As you said if someone has windvd 9, no need for him to change to WinDVD 2010 only interface is pretty as you said. Like Arcsoft TMT3 windvd 2010 still does not have the most important feature which is playing back blu-ray movies from blu-ray folder on the hard disk. To me this is the most important and if TMT3 can do that why not WinDVD 2010? I guess All2HD feature on WinDVD 9 was better as compate to Windvd 2010 on windows 7 64-bit. If i use nevigation bar to fast forward the movie while playing then suddenly windvd 2010 stops working and then i have to re-start application, is it happening with you?

I can confirm that if you do a lot of fast forwarding or rewinding with all2hd and digital motion on and then press stop or play WINDVD2010 crashes.
For me the important problems are audio technologies under Win7 so that my stereo shows actually use my rear speakers and the Digital motion compensation under Windows XP.

can anyone comment on what actual benefit of changing from WinDVD 9 to WinDVD Pro 2010. Is there any new feature added? I am unable to understand that Corel would come up after almost more then 1 and half year with just a new design but no new feature. This is really strange.

Anyone tried the download yet? I have a major problem with sound on my Vista 32bit with onboard Realtek HD Audio. It only gives noise when playing DVD. It works fine with any other players except this one. I also tried it on my xp and sounds good. Any idea?
edit: Just found out forcing reclock to load fix my sound problem. Strange. This version is mainly developed with Win 7 in mind. Nothing much in terms of new features.

I have spent many hours trying to get the audio features in Windvd2010 to work (to no avail) and in the process I think I have found some of the new features. They are more enhancements than actual new features.mankhan wrote:can anyone comment on what actual benefit of changing from WinDVD 9 to WinDVD Pro 2010. Is there any new feature added? The video enhancement section is now hardware accelerated and uses the video hardware. In WINDVD9 if you used hardware decode acceleration all of the video enhancements and color controls would be disabled. In Windvd2010 some of the enhancements work, I imagine this should be great for people using blu-ray since they will be able to use these enhancements on blu-ray movies. The upsampling option in the video enhancements is a lot better than the one in WINDVD9 but it is still not as good as ALL2HD.
I do not think this version is for me. I only play DVD's, I don't play blu-ray. I almost exclusively use ALL2HD and Digital natural motion and those features and the new video enhancements are mutually exclusive. Since I cannot get Digital Natural motion to work in Windows XP and I cannot get the audio technologies for enhancing stereo to work in Windows7 x64 this version is a bust for me.
