Imported DVD language-wnat English
I have imported a DVD into VS11+ via Insert DVD.
On the TV via my set top player I could choose English.
Power DVD plays the commentary in English but when I play it in VS
it plays in French. How do I get round this.I selected all the chapters when the option showed. What is the easiest way to edit in/out the parts I want..............Ken

You can try VOB 2 MPEG (The standard version is FREE!!!).
I haven't actually tried the current version which allows you to choose an audio track. I had mixed results with the older version... When it worked it worked great, and it was fast. When it failed to work with a particular DVD, it failed completely.
If you can find a copy of DVDshrink it will allow you to choose one or more audio tracks and make a copy of the (modified) VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS on your hard drive. Then, you can import into Video Studio from there. (DVDshrink is FREE, but illegal here in the USA due to the DMCA.)

Thanks men
Have got a copy Of DVD Shrink on disc but have never used it yet, will give it a go- hope I know which track to select.
By the way- how do you do a "quote" and post a link under different wording to the site as Jeff did above

Re: Link +Quote
I would guess that Black Lab has got HTML enabled? If so it is fairly easy coding. There might be another way but I don't know of one.Kenneth Veal wrote:By the way- how do you do a "quote" and post a link under different wording to the site as Jeff did above

Have no prior knowlege of html + coding etc would need clarification.
Anyway,
Used Shrink and was able to select English in the audio track
then backed up (the un encripted) file to my hard drive and imported it
from the file it created into VS Great ! thanks.........
Now what would be the best way to extract the parts I want to go in my project?

Kenneth,
HTML is not allowed on the web board, for security reasons. That is done using what's called BBCode. You can find out how to use them HERE. This same link appears to the lower left, under the Options, of when you're posting. It should say, HTML is OFF, BBCode is ON, and Smiles are ON.

editing
Editing of above Video_TS file sorted-via multitrim.Did not think this would be so easy peasy (as the esteemed KB would say) or would work on such a big file.Is there any limit on a multitrim file size?
