I have stated this before (as many others have) but it is just plain ridiculous and it needs to be fixed: the cursor should not move when you click on a segment!
There is no good reason for this behavior...and the workarounds are lame.

This is a real PITA when one has numerous clips in the timeline. As you're aware since you've been a member of this form for awhile, the only forum that Corel reps read are the
Wishlist forums. You might wish to post this complaint/request in that forum..

Hi JR
The curser only moves to the start position when you click on a new clip.
If you are in project playback mode the curser floats over the timeline, if you subsequently click any clip under the curser, the curser should stay put. That includes Titles, Video, Audio, Images, Only when you select a new clip not covered by the curser will the curser revert to the beginning. (First Frame)
To navigate the timeline I use a combination of, Play, Drag the curser along the timeline rule, Drag the curser below the preview screen, use the arrow keys Home and End can be most useful.
Set the time-code in the Digital Clock.
Switch from Clip to Project by selecting the text to left of Play button.
To trim the ends of a clip I use the ¡¥Square Brackets¡¦
Or drag the yellow trim bars.
Scissors also come in useful.
A lot depends on how long each clip is, as to whether you need to expand or contract the timeline.
But I do agree with you in a way, and selecting/clicking in the right order can help, may be I have just got used to it.

And all of this could be avoided if it simply did not move...
Thanks anyway Trevor,

John,
I've edited your post, to remove the check from the box beside
Disable BB Code.... If you're going to use BB Code such as the quote, please do not check that box, as it disables it, and does not enable it..
