Problem with install service pack.

Post by mikhalxaos »

Hello.
I just readed an old topic about often problems with photoimpact. And the tip with instruction to install patch to photoimpact 11 don't solve my problem, so i have the same problem but with some differences. I have MS Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit and Ulead Photoimpact 12 SE(version 12.00.0508.0), each completed together with my tablet.
First problem: I have some lags on my PC(AMD Phenom 2 X3 720, Asus M4A79T-Deluxe, 4 GB DDR 3 1333Mhz, SATA2 160GB, NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTX), when i use the brush. When I draw fast some strips, using brush, there are some delays between the some tablet signals and signals on the screen. Delay can happens at each 1 of each 7 drawing strips. Also i have antivirus Avast! Home Edition. But on the fresh OS with only drivers without antivirus and other software i have the same problem.
Second problem: if the fisrt problem will be solved, there won't be necessity to solve second. So i can't to install service pack(upi12_patch_(e)) to my Photoimpact 12 SE. After installation Photoimpact and restart i launch upi12_patch_(e), and there is on the screen show a message, that Photoimact 12 or not installed or installed version is not supported. Does this patch(12.0.0.1) not support my Photoimpact 12 SE(12.00.0508.0).
In advance thanks.

Welcome to the forums,

Sadly updates and patches will not install to SE versions, which are denoted by the SE at the end of the version number..
I have MS Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit and Ulead Photoimpact 12 SE(version 12.00.0508.0)

Nice machine!
When you are experiencing these lags, give the computer the "3 finger salute" by pressing these three keys all at the same time to bring up TASK MANAGER.
[Ctrl] [Alt] [Del]

Now check the [Processes] tab to see how busy your computer is to make sure it is not being overworked.

Thanks for solution with service pack install and thanks for comlpiment towards my machine, but it will be useful to upgrade by new videocard. So, what I have in Task Manager? Without execute any operations in program my CPU is loading on 10% - 40%. The same loading is observed at operations of painting, but the second core of CPU is loaded on 90-100%. I think that's problem in program. The program doesn't the most modern, and it hasn't optimization for modern multi-core processors. At one of these days i download trial version of Painter X and there was very big difference at perfomance. The speed of executing and abilities of program are very excited. So, I think this post is must be closed, because I ready to work with what I have, knowing that there are such programs for acquisition as Painter X. I'll just want, can you tell me, are there in my replies some mistakes at English grammatics, or what in my replies i can say for more according to English lexicon?

I had no problems understanding your posts.
Good luck using Painter X, I have a copy myself but have not yet had time to play with it.
