The only thing that spoils the experience of using VideoStudio for me is the lack of audio tracks which I had expected to be resolved in the latest version.
Currently, I am recording my commentary in-camera with the lens cap on so that I can upload the resulting file as a video file on the second video track rather than as an audio file. Of course, this means that I have to make the video behind the commentary transparent for every shot which is very time consuming but at least this leaves the 2 audio tracks free to lay music and background sound effects.
Whilst such things as filter enhancements are nice to have, I believe a separate track for music, commentary and sound effects is a pretty basic requirement. For even more versatility, 5 'non assigned' audio tracks would be great but I guess that is pushing my luck!
If anyone has another 'fix' for this problem, I'd love to hear it.

Why do you have to make the video behind the commentary transparent? If you put the commentary track on the main video track, all clips on the overlay tracks will cover it.

I too just about always use voiceover commentaries and (fairly continuous) background. But I do each one separately and they very rarely go for more than 10 -- 15 seconds each (I figure my audience is there for the video and doesn't need me droning on continuously in the background). Thus there is just about always space in the voice track for the odd sound effect.
I agree, though, that extra audio tracks would be useful...

I too wished that VS had at least one more audio track.
Sometimes I need one audio track for background sounds (eg if I have too much wind noise in the video clip and so mute it and use audio from somewhere else - eg the sounds of surf at a windy beach), one audio track for background music and a third for voice over.
I have noted that at least one other video editing software has more than 2 separate audio tracks.
Maybe rendering with 3 (or more) is difficult/impossible with the current way VS is coded/put together.

I believe this has been requested more than once in the official Wish List thread. To avoid confusion I am locking this one.
