Has anyone used an older version of Photo Explorer? I am trying to find out if there is a way to use my older viewer version 4.0 with the new photo explorer version 8.5? Or at least make the new version act like the older and better version for viewing files.
Why? Because with the older version's of the viewer I could open as many files within the viewer and tile or stack them up by the dozen while switching from photo to photo while looking for very minor differences between photo's. I could put several copies right next to each other and see changes right away. With the new viewer I can only look at one photo at a time and flip back and forth. This becomes very annoying when your managing as many files as I have to. (about 8000 photo's per directory!)
Also has anyone been annoyed by how slow the newer versions are?

I haven't used version 4 but I know you can do the stuff you are describing with any version of Photo Explorer... if I understood it correctly. You are trying to switch from one picture to the next using just the Viewer right? Then use the arrow keys or press the arrow buttons to navigate. Otherwise if you want to see multiple pictures on one viewer, just use the explorer then and view the thumbnails.
Increase the thumbnail size if you want. You can do this under "Preferences". Press "F6" for the shortcut key.
