Hi Guys

I have yet another question :D

I want to take advantage of RAID 0, I want to buy 2 drives link them together using RAID 0 so i will get 2 times the read & 2 times faster write speed.

What i would like to know is which part of the video editing process would this drive setup be the most useful? Storing captured video and then editing it OR for when i render the video. I think it would be storing captured video and then editing it! but i just wanted to be sure. :D

Thanks In Advance

If you have sata drives then the speed increase using raid will be insignicant really for most up to date pc's with good processors etc.
I've opted for raid 1, where my two discs are identical, so if one fails I have an immediate use back up of everything I've done.
I tried raid 0 to start with, but working nearly every day editing and producing discs, I can't say I've noticed a difference in speed.
Also with the amoun tof work I get in, I'm currently on 800gb of a mirrored 1TB system, so if one disc fails I lose a lot of work, and if I had the two 1TB discs making 2TB that could mean a disastor
