I have a question about Corel Video Studio 12. Im new to this software and wanted to know if i can have space or music in the beginniner of my video track before the actual video begins. WHen i instert my video into the video track, with all the sliding left or right , i just cant make space to put music or blank space before my actual video starts.

Thats what i want, i would like to have my video not start , i want the audio and black screen to begin then i want the video to begin but for some reason i cant do this unless i put my video in overlay track which i dont want to .

Directly below the Share tab is a little window that normally says Video, but is a drop down menu. Click on the drop down arrow and select colour. If you want the screen blank, you would probably normally choose black, but simply drag and drop the black (or any other colour) matte to the main timeline. You can then adjust its length by clicking on the black in the timeline, then grabbing the yellow bar at its right end with your mouse and dragging it out to however long you want it to be.

OR, you can put your video clips in the overlay track. If you put a clip in the main video track it will automatically go to the 0:00.0 mark (if it's the first clip). If you put a clip in the overlay track it will stay where you put it, anywhere on the timeline.
