I use 64bit as well, simply for the ability to increase RAM quantities above 3.5gb. While X2 itself is not a 64bit program, it still helps with editing speed to have the extra RAM.

I use Vista 64 bit..... on a 4 core CPU. VSx2 can ustilise the extra cores I'm not convinced it uses the extra RAM.

Hi Clevo,
Can we test this? It would be nice to know for sure?

At this time i am still using XP pro 32 bit
Just wondered does anyone know the maximum amount of memory x2 will use if visible and available on a 64 bit OS system?
I noticed when x2 crashes sometimes i check the vs process which is still running.
VS process seems to try to use more memory than is available on my pc say up tp 1.7 gig. I thick that's why x2 bombs out sometimes. Especially when making long end credits of a movie or using a lot of flash overlays.
