I use 64bit as well, simply for the ability to increase RAM quantities above 3.5gb. While X2 itself is not a 64bit program, it still helps with editing speed to have the extra RAM.

I use Vista 64 bit..... on a 4 core CPU. VSx2 can ustilise the extra cores I'm not convinced it uses the extra RAM.

At this time i am still using XP pro 32 bit

Just wondered does anyone know the maximum amount of memory x2 will use if visible and available on a 64 bit OS system?

I noticed when x2 crashes sometimes i check the vs process which is still running.

VS process seems to try to use more memory than is available on my pc say up tp 1.7 gig. I thick that's why x2 bombs out sometimes. Especially when making long end credits of a movie or using a lot of flash overlays.
