Can't Get "Crop" Function To Execute In Quick Comm

Post by Luthmount 45 »

Hi,

I am attempting to create a 'quick command' which consists of a CROP and a RESIZE. I want to use it to batch process a bunch of .jpg images.

But for some reason, the crop function will not 'add' to the quick command panel while it's recording. I can get it to show up if I hit Record and first select the crop area then use the Crop command in the Edit menu, but then when I try to play the quick command on any uncropped images, it tells me I first need to create a crop box! And I can't edit the crop command to specify dimensions because there is no provision for it. The only way to add a command is by executing the command while in Record mode.

It's freaking ridiculous because I've done it before, many many times. I don't understand why it's suddenly not working. I've tried closing and restarting Photoimpact multiple times, thinking it might have been a program error, but nothing works.

PLEASE HELP ME!!! Thanks!!

Sorry for the extreme delay with any help..

However I don't have any good news. I've tried to work through this, and it is as you say. For some reason this just does not work in PI.

Aaah, a reply! Thank you so much...

The interesting thing is, I got it to work a few months ago... I just have no idea how! But now it doesn't seem to want to, and you have obviously tried as well with no luck. Aaah well, I guess it's just another one of PhotoImpact's "death throws". Soon it will be completely incompatible and non-functional with upcoming operating systems, etc., with no updates forthcoming from it's uncaring publisher.

Thanks again vidoman

All the best,
