Video keeps repeating in flash
I have made a short video about 90 secs(chromakey) to be a welcome message on a website. However, whenever it is converted into a flash file, it keeps repeating. First of all I made it as an mpeg2 with no menu and it was put on a dvd and given to a second person to convert it to flash. I tried to make another mpeg2 with a menu and this also repeats in flash. I then made a flash file directly in Video Studio Pro X2 and emailed the file to another person for the website but this file also repeats. There is no script on the website telling the flash file to repeat. What am I doing wrong?

Whoever is producing your Flash files for you is choosing the option "Loop playback" It will look something like the attached screen shot which you will see on the right it has a number of options. Just get them to uncheck this option.

Had another thought. Why don't you create your own flash files. It is fairly straightforward and there is a free program for you to achieve this. Not sure if I should put third party program details on the Forum but will do so if the Admin say it is OK or send you an email with the details.

He has a program to create flash files - X2 Pro.

reply to video keeps repeating
Many thanks for your help and advice. The welcome message was to go on a wysiwyg website. Although the message was set up to not loop, it continued to do so. However, once the player was removed from the website and a new player used, the video only played once.
The website is currently under construction but I have attached a link so that you can see the video. There is a little background noise we think from the camera but we are very pleased with it.

Again, thank you for your advice.

Very nicely done. A particularly good example of using the Chroma Key and I didn't notice the background "noise". Tiny point it would be good to have a skin to the video so that if you wanted to replay the clip you could do so without having to refresh the screen every time.

He just got it fixed so it wouldn't loop and now you want to play it again!

video control user options
LOL! Seriously though it should have controls to give the user the *option* to view it again. Example. I load the page, I'm watching the talk, the phone rings and it's my hunny-gf on the caller-id and there's no *way* I can put that off!! So I answer the phone and by the time I get back to the screen all I see is a black box. I can't play it again without 'reloading' the page. This is a tech group here and we all know what reload means but a *lot* of joe/joelle-newbies don't.Black Lab wrote:He just got it fixed so it wouldn't loop and now you want to play it again!![]()

Re: reply to video keeps repeating
That's *very* nice but I do have one suggestion regarding 'user site experience.' That fade to black is not pretty. Either hold the last frame when she stops speaking, or fade to a CAQ logo or a map of QL. Now I don't know enough about flash to know if that's even possible but -anything- is better than that soul-sucking black box.ctscar190 wrote:The website is currently under construction but I have attached a link so that you can see the video.
