VideoStudio Shuts down

Post by dmallon »

I have a problem with VideoStudio X2 Pro shutting down when I try to burn a stand DVD, This problem just started today. Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, what is the cure. I am using a HP dv9000 series laptop. With AMD TL-60 (2.0 GHZ), 3.0 GB Ram, 32 bit system, standard HP DL DVD drive.

Thanks,

Angler

Since it just started, what is different? Using different video files, workflow, updates to OS, changed brands of DVD blanks? Have you updated Direct-X to the most recent (March 2009 I think) version? If not try updating it.

Edit (beat me to it Jeff...)
What he said...We need some more info to go on...;)

This could range from Faulty source material to faulty hardware.
It could be as a result of installing something new to the computer - either hardware, new software or one of those awful Microsoft Windows Update patches. It could be the reverse where you have removed something.

After pondering the above and if you cannot find the answer then as requested by Jeff and Ron, please view:

x2 shuts down

I have been having the same trouble today. I had edited a mpg file and went to create a disk. The material was one and half hours long. After two and half hours rendering it got to 100% complete and then almost immediately sssssshut down completely. I was using a dvd-r disk and it looks as it has written enough just to close the disk. It worked fine last week and the writer still works with roxio though I feel roxio could be causing problems
