I got a new system finally, and ready to get the MF6 but I installed the trial just to be on the safe side, and guest what? After installation when I press "New Video project" I got an error saing that the launcher related with this file is corrupted. I got the update, everything with no success. I uninstall and reinstall it. Still the same error.
Is there a known problem with Vista 64? I remember it worked fine on my old XP32.

Have you tried the patches?

Yes, but only the Hot Fix will install. The Patches do not, giving an corupted file error at installation. Anyway, none of the patches describe as fixing problems with Vista64. I tried this program on my old XP and was working fine (too slow though to be usefull).
However, the last trial download from Corel still needs patches?
Shouldn't they be included by now?

Movie Factory 6 works on Win 7 64 bit
I have MF6 plus installed on my Windows Win 7 64 bit laptop and it is working with no errors that I know of (admittedly I haven't tried every module.) I have the last evaluation edition of Win 7. I just wish it would run full screen!
