Videostudio X2 no sound recording on video

Hi my first ever post on here
In VideoStudio X2 when I click on capture, source and my videocard
then options on analog in the audio input it says pci audio and no where to select aux in or anything on my sound card but can capture video ok

My soundcard is realtek HD and i'm running Windows Vista

Analog capture is tricky, and it depends on your particular capture hardware.

Some capture-hardware and capture-software doesn't "play well together", so if you should use the software that came with your video capture card (if any came with it). For example, my video capture card has its own an audio input, and I use the manufacture-supplied capture-software.

I don't know if this will help, but Windows has seperate recording and playback "mixers", and you may have to select Aux-In (or (Line-In) from the recording mixer.

Double-click the speaker icon to bring-up the Windows mixer. Click Options -> Properties -> Recording. Make sure Realtek is selected as the device, and that Line or Aux is checked-off, then click OK to pop-up the recording mixer. Select Line or Aux,and make sure the volume is up. (With most soundcards, the recording mixer isn't really a mixer and you can select only one input at a time.)
