VideoStudio 9 - chronic performance issues

Hi- I am running v9 of VideoStudio on a 2.8 Dell Dimension with 512 Mg of RAM, and tons of diskspace. However the performance is appalling, - anyone any ideas why - it practically hangs!

Well, we need to know what you trying to do when the performance is appalling - capturing?, editing?, burning? Have a look at the top post on this forum to get some idea of proper workflow and the kind of information that we need to get started on the problem.
