Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor

Post by luxor »

I Have the mentioned video capture device, i lost the original Ulead VideoStudio 8 SE, so i tried with Videostudio X2 instead.
When i choose capture in the main screen, it goes to the capture screen, and i choose Capture Video, it finds the source "Creative USB AV Codec", in the preview window i can see the input that i want to capture, but there are no formats available to choose from.
SO when i try to capture the input i get the following error message:
"Cannot start the capture graph".

Does anybody know how to configure videostudio X2 for this device ?

Welcome to the forums,

VS X2 may not be able to capture using this device. Since Intervideo changed the capture plug-in used from DSW, to their own creation of IVI, VS has had problems capturing from analog-digital conversion devices. VS8 however did not use the IVI capture plug-in so would have been fully capable of doing so, especially so, since it was an SE version. SE versions are commonly tweaked by the hardware vendors to work with their devices.

Have you tried contacting Creative to see if they could supply you with another copy of VS8se?

This looks like a really old USB 1.1 device. Maybe you should think about updating your hardware.
