AVI file trouble

Post by Canon »

Hi everybody I am new in this forum.
I have problem with AVI file from Premier CS4. After I edit my movie I export to AVI.
I use that file with movie factory 6 plus, when I playback my DVD it show like pixels, flicker, the lines are not straights.
But if i use Premier 6.5, and export to AVI, I do not have any problem with movie factory. and the DVD is OK.
There is anybody can help me. Thanks

"AVI" is not a single format. It's a "wrapper" or "container" format, and it can contain anything from DV to DivX.

So, I don't know what you're starting-out with, but most trouble-free format is AVI/DV, which is less compressed (13GB per hour) and has better quality than most other formats.

If you're making a DVD, your best bet is probably to export to DVD compatible MPEG-2. Then Movie Factory won't alter the video as long as you select Do Not Convert Compliant MPEGs. (You can check some of the Movie Factory Project Settings to find compilant settings.)

Or, you are generally safe converting to AVI/DV (if it's not AVI/DV already) and allowing Movie Factory to make a (MPEG-2) DVD from that.

I did it, I export mepg2 dvd, and premier cs4 split the file into 2 files video and audio.
Now the dvd looks good the image, but no sound, because I can not import the audio file. Do you know how can I import the audio file to ulead?
Thanks for your help.
