[Q] Sound missing on export to tape using VS8

Post by bctinc »

I had a bunch of digital pictures from my kids' school show and wanted to publish to VHS tape. So I created a project (not from a DV template) put in pictures, transitions, motion, titles, and audio music.

When I tried to export to DV tape (to later hookup to VCR to create a VHS tape), the option was not available (this wasn't a DV project remember?)

So, I exported as a DV file - a 3:30 created an almost 800MB .AVI file!

I imported this file into a DV project and when I finally exported to DV tape, there was no audio. I ended up using Microsoft's "Windows Movie Maker" to creat a project, add the .AVI, and export to tape - and it worked, no problem.

Any ideas why VS8 let me down here?

Thanks!
