Timing video clips

Post by Shackleton »

I am so new to video editing programs so please bear with me
I am attempting to follow the tutorial "Adding a perspective scroll title effect" 2 problems
1 When I click on Border/shadow/Transparency as instructed, I get the message "An invalid argument was encountered" What should I do to rectify this?

2 I skipped that bit and the scroll worked OK but it scrolls too fast. How do I time the clip?

Thanks in advance,

To control the speed of the scroll in the title do this...

Click on the title on the title track....with the mouse grab hold of the yellow bar on the end of the clip (click and drag to the right)...this makes your clip longer and therefore scroll slower.

Controlling speed of clip

Clevo, No matter how I try that yellow bar will not move. What you describe makes perfect sense. Could there be a setting somewhere that is locking the slide time? I am just guessing.

Clevo, I think I have solved the mystery. When I hold "Shift" click and drag the yellow bar, it moves :D Problem solved Thank you.

Wierd! I don't have to press the Shift key when I do it on my titles but if it works it works! :)
