X2 and Windows 7

Anyone using this combo having issues with creating disk?

Menu buttons seem to be left justified Hiding the Closed and Back buttons?

Win 7 64bit
VS X2 Pro 12.0.98.1
12Gb DDR3 1600 Ram
Intel I7 920 CPU
Nvidia GTX295 Video

Hmmm using CTRL N seems to get me to NEXT screen allowing me to Burn.

I will make this thread a sticky so that anyone who is testing out Windows 7 can report any other issues that are found. Hopefully Corel will want to release a patch at some time in the future once Windows 7 has been released (22 October 2009) and this thread will give myself and the other Administrators something we can pass to Corel.

I've just worked out what it would cost me to build a new PC to the spec that Accolades has. I think I shall be sometime before my pocket money allows me to save that much. Dell are now producing a very good PC for less than the cost of 12 Gig of DDR3 RAM. Still the first PC I had came with 1 Mb of RAM. An extra 1Mb was available at an extra cost of 895 GBP that's about 1400 US Dollars! How things have changesd in such a short time :o

Hi,

Forgot to add the Thermaltake Spedo Advance Full Tower case and Thermaltake Toughpower QFan 750W Power supply but didnt think that was relevant to the problem 8)

PS WD Raptor 10000rpm 300GB Main drive + Western Digital 2TB (2000mb) SATA Green Power Hard Disk Drive 32mb Cache for Data :D

Have another 1TB Internal and several external USB drives including a 1TB used for backups.

Runs well

Am very jealous but will stop now as this is supposed to be a serious "sticky" on Windows 7!

Accolades... Did you notice a nice improvement in rendering times with the i7? I've been thinking of upgrading, I didn't know if it was worth it yet.

What was your previous system?

Thanks!

I think the total rendering time is still gonna seem a little long but may be quicker.. I havent done any real testing.

It is a LOT better for editing with for sure....

Hmmm using CTRL N seems to get me to NEXT screen allowing me to Burn.
Having the same problem with the release candidate.
Win7 64bit
Ctrl/N does nothing for me.
I get to the "Preview" screen and nothing from there.

Any suggestions?

Logging off and logging back on to the PC without rebooting seems to fix the Windows explorer problem.

You are perfectly right , seems to be a incompatibility between Videostudio X2 and Windows 7.

I have the same problem in a Windows 7 RC 64 bit enviroments & VideoStudio X2 PRO last trial version.
