If one has 720p avchd footage, is it possible to burn an AVCHD disk with that, on a standard blank DVD? (I only see listed under options for such disks, higher resolutions than that.)

Also, would it be better to save the AVCHD footage to a mts or mt2s file first, then do the disk creation with the single file?

What if there are two titles, and one wants a menu to choose between the two? Should one create a separate HD file for each of the two, then open the two created files with the disk creation module?

I simply don't know the answer to the first question. I create AVCHD discs using the 1440 x 1080 option but do so from HDV rather than AVCHD originals. The hybrid disc you are talking about uses a Blu-Ray folder structure on the standard DVD, and I am simply not sure whether the Blu-Ray standard includes 720p.

If I am burning only one project to a hybrid AVCHD disc, I generally do not convert the project to an AVCHD file first -- I just burn the project file to disc. But the answer to your own question also relates to your final question. If you have two separate titles and want a main menu to choose between then it might be better to produce separate new AVCHD files and then burn them to disc, with a menu pointing to both. However, you could also just put the two project files into the burning module and do it that way. It will take quite some time, however, and with a long conversion and burning process, there is always the risk of errors creeping in. So first converting the project to a file might be best.

A variant could be to combine the two projects into one final video/title, and create chapter points, and have the menu set not to have a main page, but only the chapters page...
