How to create custom profiles

On my old computer, I have a version of VideoStudio 11 in which I made a custom profile. I have a new computer now and installed VideoStudio 11 on it and am trying to recreate this custom profile, but it doesn't seem to be working.

I go to create a video file, change the type to "wmv" and select "options" to bring up the dialog box. Clicking on the "profile" tab shows the list of profiles. When I go to "customize" to make the one I want, there is nothing editable. It just allows me to switch to another existing profile.

How can I create a custom profile? On my old computer, that "customize" button opens up a "manage profiles" window which allows for creating a new profile, editing parts of a current one, etc. It is this window that I can't seem to find in the version of VideoStudio 11 on my new computer.

I downloaded the trial version of the latest VideoStudio by Corel and it also doesn't show the "manage profiles" window.

Help?

This brought over the custom profile - or at least some of it. The name and type came over but the frames per second, size and other attributes were not what the original is.

The second most easy way to create the template is to use an existing video that was previously rendered to the required format. You then use this method:

For some reason, that last screenshot never comes up. I can push "edit" but then it just has me pick a default - never lets me do any customizations.

Maybe something went wrong with the install?

Hi

Have you updated the latest Direct X manually, :?: see announcement at the top of this forum.
I know this does fix X2 problems. ( Similar to---For some reason, that last screenshot never comes up.)

Also
Have you installed the latest WMV player and the Encoder on your new pc.

Have you tried using Make Movie Manager to create templates

Installing the latest DirectX version manually seems to have done the trick. Many, many thanks!!!!!
