Which Filter does Reverse Video?
I recall reading on this forum about a filter where the clip plays to about x% then it reverse plays the clip back to y% then continues to play the clip from y% to the end, but now that I want to use that effect I can't seem to find it anywhere. I'm on VS X2 Pro.

Hi
I am not sure that a video filter is available for this effect ¡Vmaybe X2 has--but:-
Video studio 10 has a reverse video button located left of the video properties tab..
Checking this will play the clip backwards.
You would of course have to cut the clip in the correct places and probably add the clips twice.

Does FXBench have that capability?

X2 can reverse video, but I don't see the filter he is referring to. Must be third party.

Never heard of such a filter but the effect is in fact very easy to do.
Step1. Cut your video where you want the effect to start.
Step2. Cut your video where you want the effect to end.
This produces a clip which to make things easy we will call "F" (Forward)
Step 3. Drag F up to the library.
Step 4. Drag F back to the time line and do this until you have at least 3 copies of F on the timeline.
Step 5. Apply Reverse Video to every SECOND occurrence of F.
We will now rename any occurrence of F where Reverse Video has been applied to become B (backward)
With 3 clip your timeline will now look like this:
F B F
With 5 clips your timeline looks like this:
F B F B F
and so on.

Is this what you are wanting to do, if so I will post my workflow. Only takes about 5 min and it is not as if you are going to use it on every project so it's probably quicker to do it this way than search for a filter which would probably take 5 mins to edit the "Customise filter"
