When using Import Digital Media in VS X2 Pro, I enter the DVD or rip to hard drive. Everything imports fine. The title and chapters appear showing all the correct audio, video, and subtitle streams. In fact I make sure the appropriate subtitle box is checked (although not sure if that's necessary). When I play the resulting .mpg file no subtitle stream is shown. Any ideas???
I posted this question directly to the Corel Tech support and was directed here. So much for going directly to the company. And it only took them 5 days to tell me to go elsewhere. Pretty lame support. Should have just come here first.

Hopefully it doesn't take 5 days for someone here to provide a possible solution. I can only offer my best guess, I don't have any DVDs that are not commercial copy-protected, using subtitles.
So here's a suggestion, since VS saves subtitles to UTF file format, try searching the folder where VS copied the files from the DVD for any *.utf files. It might be that you have to insert those into your project separately..
