I burned 45 minutes worth of ACVHD onto a disc. It took nearly 8 hours. Playback using WinDVD on computer is fine. When disc is put into stand alone dvd player connected to TV, it will not play: says UNSUPPORTED.

What is the problem please?

Thanks

Hi

Does your DVD player support AVCHD.

I searched the web and found some info here

First, AVCHD is not a format which can be played by any standard definition DVD player. It can only be played by a Blu-Ray rated player.

Second, I am assuming you have burned an AVCHD hybrid disc (i.e. high definition AVCHD but burned on a standard DVD...) If you actually chose Share > Create Disc > AVCHD, this is what you will get. It creates a Blu-Ray BDMV folder on the disc, but not a DVD Video_TS folder. The latter is what can be read by a standard DVD player. The former cannot be read. It is "unsupported"...
