How to use All2HD from the hard-disk?

Post by vegetaleb »

If I run a DVD from a DVD hard-disk folder using ifos and VOB files I can't use All2HD :(
Are we obliged to burn a DVD media everytime we want to watch a movie in All2HD? or there are some tips to fool WinDVD 9 and let it play a DVD folder with full options?

Just a suggestion, you can fool your computer into thinking it has a real DVD in a real DVD drive by using a "Virtual CD" program.
You would need to convert the DVD folder to an ISO - if it is a DVD you made yourself then burn an ISO file instead of or as well as burning to a hard drive folder. If you are making a copy of a real DVD then you will need some software to do the job.

It seems crazy but now even the physical DVDs can't use All2HD
In the settings the Hardware Acceleration option is greyed out so I can't even choose to disable or enable it!!! What happened????
I have a ATI 4850 and patch B14.119

you are probably trying to enable All2hd while playing a DVD. That was possible before the patch but after the patch you have to stop the DVD to change your all2hd settings or enable/disable hardware acceleration. Also All2HD does not work in a dual monitor environment. It might be one of those.
