Please help, Post on making new folders in library?

Post by jblank37 »

Fellows, I have did my best to do a search. To make this short, my computer crashed and had to purchase another. I am doing my best to get VS X2 Pro set up like I had it on my other system. I thought at one time that there was a sticky from ssj1805 telling things like how to make new folders in the library, such as "my images" and "my music". I want to believe that you also made folders such as "Ulead Images" and "Ulead Music". Then you copied the images from the original folder and pasted them into the new folder named "Ulead Images". I hope I am about right on this. If anyone could direct me to this, it would be very much appreciated. I remember there be a lot of good information in that post.

There is no magic in the names you assign folders you create and which you intend to use for Video Studio images, video, music etc. This also applies to the stock video and photos etc that come as part of VS installation package but which you have to unpack and store yourself manually.

Just as long as you yourself know the names and remember where they are. When you use Insert Video or Insert Image etc in VS, you just navigate to the relevant folder the same way you would with any other folder.

Hi
Are you saying you cannot recall how to create a new library page?

I use VS 10 but I assume the library is in a similar format.

When you open VS the library opens to the Video page, this contains the default program video¡¦s.
Select the down pointing arrow adjacent to the word Video
To the bottom of the list is the Library Manager option

This opens a window allowing you to create new pages, simply give it a name and close.
When selecting the down arrow again your new page will be available.
Repeat this for the image and Audio sections.

(Please note you should be able to access the manager from the Tools Menu)
