Rendering WMV's all the same type: Smartphone 220x180

Post by transmigration2003 »

Hi, whenever I render a video in WMV format (Create Video File) no matter the option I choose, it always spits out a low quality Smartphone file at 220x180. Even when I choose WMV HD 1080.

any ideas?
I have VideoStudio Pro X2
(Corel Video Studio 12.0.98.1 Pro)
I use Windows XP on a Dell Inspiron E1505, laptop.
dual processors.
i have installed the Patch for VSX2 Pro and
the Direct X March 2009 Update

Have you tried the Custom option (Share>Create Video File>Custom)?

There is a VS12 patch here:

I mention this as my version of VS is 12.0.98.1 and I see yours is 12.0.98.0
Worth trying the patch and see if that works. Mine works and this is the only difference between my version and yours!

Hi

And to add, VS X2 has some problems which is cured by updating Direct X.

Even though you may have windows up-to-date, installing Direct X manually does help.

Read the Sticky at the top of this forum for a link.

If you haven¡¦t already done so then this it is worth the effort.
