Good advice Trevor,

I might also add, as an extra to try, as I find this someimtes happens with other apps and plenty of times with movie maker in windows, that when using files that are totally compliant with the programme, that making shorter projects and then joining them up again can work.
A 13 minute video can have hundreds of photos in, so I'd suggest splitting to around 50 photos, or one piece of music.
Make sure you start each new project with a new name.
Save video as a dv.avi file and start nerw project and add all dv.avi files and save as one new one.
Then try to make dvd.
