Post by mzanchi »

Is there a graphic sign or other note that can sign clip already present in the project?

I would like to see in my library clip that are in project, signed by somethnig, so don't insert more that 1 time the clip :-)

Any suggestion?

Thanks
Marco.

Not to my knowledge, Marco. You can insert the same clip into the timeline a hundred times if you wish without VS responding with any warning. Sorry.

Thanks Alosada...
i know that i can use and reuse clips in my project.
My question is only a graphical sign to show if a clip is already present in my Project.

As you know is a nice to have a sign that show me if a clip already present, so if i edit a project for an event that i have filmed, i can't forgot to insert an important or significativ clip for this project.

Only to know...
thanks again.

Marco,
I have wished for some sort of durable visual placeholder in the Library to mark my current edit position. I asked Ulead to consider adding this feature in VS8. These placeholders should be saved in the Project file so that when we restart VS to continue editing, we resume exactly where we left off. The project file space needed to maintain the complete state would be trivial when compared to the space required by video files.

Maintaining one's position in the library is made even more difficult because Video Studio jerks the Library display around whenever you mouse on an object in the timeline. This causes us to have to continually scroll the library back into position. BTW, the scroll position should be saved in the Project file, also.
