Hello
(It's been a while!)
Doing some catching-up aafter a break. I see that ULead's website now has (maybe it had before but I missed it) a service pack for MF5, plus a patch for Terratec devices.
I have a Terratec AV400 and bundled with it was "a" version (I'm not sure whether OEM or standard) of MF5. Can anyone who knows about these things please advise me whether or not that version needs the service pack? I ask because various things mentioned in the description as additions/improvements seem already to have been included in the Terratec version. I shall be installing the Hauppage/Terratec patch anyway.
It does seem to me that ULead's software suffers from bloat and I don't want to add any further to that than is absolutely necessary.
MF5 - do I need service pack?

Most of the time the bundled software is a special edition (SE) version. Since it was bundled with your Terratec, I would suspect the patch found on Ulead's website is not required. The other patches however may not install to your version, as they are for full registered versions, and not for any SE or Trial versions.
