TS Folder and Detail view

Sorry about the confusion- my excuse is ignorance and inexperience.
Re the TS folder
1 I was not aware that VS would create a TS folder automatically when creating a DVD and if one already existed the files in it would be overwritten.Therefore the folder
Into which the files are saved to could
be my working folder or any other named folder.

I must have got the impression from somewhere that create DVD Folders meant
Raising a Video _TS folder so that is what I have always done and that has always worked for me.
The following also confirmed to me that I thought I was doing the correct thing

Create DVD Folders
This option is only enabled when the video file being created is a DVD-Video.
This is the option I normally choose. The DVD will be created and placed in your chosen folder on your hard drive in preparation for burning the
video file to a DVD.

...And Ken, just to clarify one point. You say you normally prepared a [Video]_TS folder. But later ask about a 'DVD Folder' as though it is something different. Just for the sake of clarity: a DVD folder *IS* a Video_TS folder
That closes the case for the defence .........
