Hi there and thanx so long for your help.

VS X2.

Coming Sunday we have a lady who will do a dance together with a song which will be played. This is easy, you play the tune and she dances.

The challange is that I want the word of the song to display on the video screen which must be in sync with the music.

How do you think must I do this? I want people to read the word of the song as the CD plays.
I can play the CD and put the words on Powerpoint and then the operator of the computer and CD player must just toggle to the next screen with the arrow keys.

But, since I have VS and know it can be done better, I want to do it the better way.
Can anyone please just push my thoughts in the right direction?

Regards,
Deon

If you want to use VS you would import the song to your timeline, then use Titles to insert the lyrics. Of course you would have to manually line up the printed lyrics with the song's lyrics. Shouldn't be too difficult.

You could leave the video timeline empty if you wish, which would result in your "video" being whatever color you have as your default background. Or to make it a little more interesting you could insert video or image clips.

Thanx Jeff, for the reply. I just thought there might be another way to approach this.
