This is embarrasing because I know that I'm missing something quite simple, but I have tried for 2 hours to figure out the problem and just can't.
I have - in the past month - created some videos with titles with no problems. I recently reinstalled VS Pro X2 and now I am unable to view the video track and title track at the same time when creating movies. It's one or the other, but not both at once....
What am I missing or have inadvertently turned off?
Please tell me what I'm doing wrong with titles here...

You might have some of the overlay tracks turned on, which will bump the title track down, off your screen. Either turn off some of the overlay tracks or turn on Show All Visible Tracks.

I've turned off and on Show All Visible Tracks but it doesn't seem to matter. The only way I can preview the video is by clicking on it in the timeline. Then I can't see the title. I'm not able to see them both at once in the preview window. This is making me crazy because it used to work.

Patience! We are all volunteers here, so can only answer when we have the chance...
One thing that isn't clear from your posts is whether you are trying to see the video and titles together with Project mode enabled (below the blue progress bar under the preview screen, and to the left of the Play etc controls). If you only have Clip mode enabled, you will only be able to watch one or the other.

Hi
When you select any track, VS displays that track in ¡¥Clip¡¦ playback mode and only plays that track. (notice the word ¡¥Clip¡¦ being highlighted)
By clicking the word ¡¥Project¡¦ adjacent to the ¡¥Play¡¦/ ¡¥Start¡¦ button, will switch VS to its ¡¥project playback mode¡¦ . (notice the word ¡¥Project¡¦ being highlighted)
Now all tracks will be displayed in the preview screen.
Play will start from the ¡¥project position curser.
Clicking the rule at the top of the timelines will reposition this curser and also switch to ¡¥project playback¡¦.

Thanks for the input. I was already aware of the difference between viewing the "project" or the "clip". For this video, it made no difference which I selected.
However, I, hopefully, have narrowed the problem to a difference between my basic videos.
I have gone back to some of the video clips in my library that worked in the past, and to my suprise, they still work fine. I can add titles and view in "project" mode and see both the video and the title's together.
I looked at the propertys of the two videos (the one that works and the one that doesn't ) and noticed the following differences.
The first diffence is the Data rate:
The video that works has a data rate of "Variable bit rate (Max 9856 kbps), while the non-working video has a data rate of "8200 kbps".
The second difference is the Bit rate:
The video that works has a Bit rate of "256 kbps", while the non-working video has a Bit rate of "448 kbps".
Could either or both of these differences explain the abnormality?
BTW, both are identical in all other ways, ie. they are both NTSC DVD format, MPEG-2 Video, upper field first, etc...
Thanks in advance for your thoughts here....
