Where do the images go?

I have trouble finding my images after the are loaded into my hard drive. I always have to go hunting in docs, user docs, users Darryl docs, or pictures I eventually find what I am looking for but forget why I was looking for it. For instance, some photos are in a place called Darryl/music/pictures/pictures/pictures/pictures most but not all. Is there a fix to put all in one place, say, windows photo gallery? thanks

It depends what program you are using to upload your pictures to your computer from the camera or removable drive. Every program has settings to tell it what to do and where to do it to some degree and I have never seen one that didn't include a destination setting. Play with the option menus on whatever you are using and I am confident you will figure it out.
With images it's all about organization. Find a program you like that organizes your pics and learn it inside and out. I use Photoshop Elements 7 which I like a lot.
