Hi all
I am about to back up a load of video file projects created using VS 11 onto an external hard drive. That will then be linked to a Western Digital TV Media Player so I can access video footage easily.
I have noticed that all my project files have an associated .upd file. My question is - do I need to transfer that across to the hard drive also, or is just the MPEG file sufficient?
Many thanks
Do I Need To Keep .upd files?

Hi
You should be able to delete these files without problems.
I think they are created in the burner stage during rendering, not sure what they actually do.
Unless they are related to ¡¥smart render¡¦
I don¡¦t render often in the burner module and don¡¦t create many these files. Just searched my drives , I have two of these files left over from old projects.
I have had no problem deleting them.
If you are still unsure move them along with the other files, after all they are very small.
