Still Image to Video transition

Hi,

I have a project that contains both 4:3 and 16:9 video clips. The project itself is set as a 16:9 project so that the video clips that are 4:3 have bands on the left and right.

When I take a still image of the first frame in a 16:9 clip, the transition from the still to the video is very smooth. In this case the Image is set as "Fit to Project Size"

When I take a still image of the first frame in a 4:3 clip, there is a noticeable jump when transitioning from the still to the video. I have tried both Fit to Project and Keep Aspect and do not get a smooth transition.

Is there anything else I can do to fix this?

Perhaps you need to save the still image, open it with an image editor such as PhotoImpact, Paint shop Pro, Photoshop etc. Resize the still to the dimensions you require. Save it then import it into VideoStudio and use that edited image instead.

Thanks for the reply. Both the still image and the video show 720x480 when I look at the properties.. What would I resize the image too?

Resizing it to 640x480 fixed the problem. I think it is odd that the video is 720x480 and I had to resize the image to have the transition appear smoothly. Oh well, thanks for the help.

Hi

If you are capturing your image from the video make sure you use ¡¥project playback¡¦
Then use Tools ¡VSave current frame as image.
