I've tried applying Lens Flare 3 or 4 times and each time it crashes VS X2. Anyone else have this problem? Know a fix?

I have used the Lens Flare in the past with no problem.

What type of clips are you working with?

I too use the Lens Flare filter, and yet to experience any problems with it.

I imported some video from my sony miniDV camcorder as "DVD". I've also tried an AVI file (again, imported from my miniDV). And I've tried just previewing Lens Flare with no clip at all. Crashed!

My system really doesn't like vsX2

I just tried Lens Flare in VS9. No problem. Weird.

That is weird.

FYI - since you have a mini-dv cam you should always import ad DV-AVI.

Found a fix. Was also having trouble with light.vft. Crashed instantly everytime I touched it, even in just the preview window. Didn't even give an error message. The program just closed.

I removed the x2 version of the filter from the vft_plug folder and replaced it with the same file from vs11. Everything works fine, now.

Don't know what Corel did to the filter in X2, but my machine didn't like it.
