Hello there,
I am working since quite a long time with Video Studio 11.5 Plus. Also editing and composing HD video's which one asking a lot from this program concerning toughness. Quite regularly the program cut down in the middle of work and this of course is very, very boring. Lately I lost a whole video (35 minutes) because of the fact that Windows in combination with Video Studio disarranged the files and the consequence was that I had to begin a new project. So the program stay instable.
Some month ago yet I asked Corel and the publisher of Video Studio if (and if yes when) they will come out with a Linux version. But I never became an answer.
Do you know something about this issue? Does they have any plans to do so? I am very curious about this matter.

None of us here are Corel Employess, and we don't have any inside information. However, I wouldn't expect a Linux version.

I wouldn't blame that on Windows.

I am not an employee of Corel but I can guarantee this will never happen.
Why?

Corel is a profit making concern.
Users of a Linux system do not PAY for software they use Open Source - including of course the Operating system itself.

If you have a Linux Operating system then the best way to use any commercially produced program is to use Virualization (By the way even that is FREE).

I have in the past tried installing VS on a Ubuntu computer using Wine, but it never worked, and in any case is not listed in the Wine list of possibly compatible programs.

And I too have to say I doubt it will ever be brought out in a Linux version...
