reinstalling upgrades

Post by ifixem »

Had to replace my computer. The last "disc" I have is vs10plus. However I had purchased on line vs11.5plus back in 2008. Since I have already paid for this upgrade. How can I download it again on my new hard drive without it costing me?

Thanks for the reply.
I do have a backup. I just don't know where to go to get the "upgrade" that I downloaded. Does it put it in a generic location where I can retrieve it?

Thanks again for the reply.
I downloaded the files you suggested. When it tries to open it says vs11 not found on machine. I know it's out there because I can find the vs11 folder. I'll keep digging unless you have another suggestion

Thanks.

Did you install VS11+ from an installation file or restored it from a backup? (In your previous post you stated that you have a backup ).

I have v11+ on a backup and I am in the process of trying to find it now as I type. I am looking for an executable file. I downloaded the upgrade so I do not have a cd. I am a user from version 7 and the last physical cd I have is vs10.

Well guys,
Thanks for your help. It does not appear that I have the file. I have a lot of vs11 files but nothing that will install the program. Time to fork out more money for vs12.

Sorry to hear that..:(

Just remember after you purchase and download the installation files, be sure to burn them to a CD or DVD.

GREAT IDEA, I was able to find installation files for Media One but that didn't help much. Oh well. Thanks again.
