B Roll

Post by demofred »

I downloaded the VideoStudio trial and liked what I saw, but I can't seem to find "the way" to put different video over audio from the main video clip. I was able to separate audio from the main video on a different track, and I could put a second video clip within the main video as a PIP, but I want to insert B roll video in several places while continuously listening to someone talking from the first (main) video. That was very easy to do in my previous software, and since VideoStudio offers so many more features -- there's got to be a simple way to accomplish this "basic" video editing procedure.

Please help a "newbie."

You don't really say what your problem is. Is it that your overlay clips do not fill the screen? This can be remedied by changing the default in File>Preferences, or simply right clicking the clip in the Preview Window and choosing Fit to Screen.

Please read Multi-Cam Editing for more info.
