Can someone help me? I am using Ulead Video Editor 10, yeah I need to update but broke at this time and it does the job for me with what I need to get done lol. I haven't had a problem since I found out how to add my videos into the video editor, but now I am having trouble with a couple videos. only have of it or almost all of it adds to the editor.
One video has all the audio but not all the video, how come? can someone help? thanks!

Sorry, but we are not mind readers here. Can you tell us what the format and other properties of the video are, where they came from etc, and hopefully someone may be able to help.

Sorry about that. Last time you guys knew the problem without me giving to much info. So I will copy and paste and let you know whats going on:

Describe your problem:
When I load a certain video to my Ulead 10 it does not play all of the video only like 85% of it BUT it has all the audio on it.

Properties of your source files, including video, audio, image files (format, file size, where did you get it?):

There is probably some slight corruption in your MPEG-2 file. I'm assuming that it plays all the way through with Windows Media Player? If you can't play it all the way through, maybe you've got major corruption!

Is there any posibility you can re-capture to AVI/DV format? (AVI/DV is the most trouble free format.) Judging from the file/folder name, I'd guess that you cannot re-capture. (You may not have "captured" the video, but downloaded, copied, or "ripped" it from a DVD.)

Here are a couple of programs that have "MPEG Repair" tools:
VideoReDo ($50 - $75 USD)
Womble ($35 - $50 USD)
Both offer free trials. If these repair tools work with your files, the file will (usually) be repaired without affecting quality.

Sometimes, you can fix an MPEG by simply re-encoding, with a 3rd-party program such as SUPER (FREE!!!). SUPER is kind-of a screwy program, and there are lots of options, but you can select "MPEG II" as the output format and keep all of the same settings, except maybe change the bitrate slightly. (I think SUPER sets the average (or constant) bitrate, rather than the maximum, so you'll probably end-up changing the bitrate no matter what.)

When you re-encode MPEG, you theoretically loose some video quality. But, sometimes you don't have a choice, and at a high-enough bitrate the loss shouldn't be noticeable.

This question is about the source video and how it got into your computer... For example, did the video come from a video camera connected via Firewire?

These questions have to do with your project goals and your file output. For example, are you making an NTSC DVD?, a DivX disc to play on your computer?, uploading an MPEG-4 file to YouTube?, etc.?

I think I understand what you are saying lol. If I use DVDfab first, then rip the video, that should fix it? I believe that would do the trick. I will do that and let you know how that turns out.
