I am working on "building" myself an editing studio in a spare room and am very interested in finding an editing keyboard for VSPX2. Like the ones you can get for the Avid, Adobe, and other higher end products that have the color-coded keys and key-maps for the shortcuts printed on them.

After extensive Google searching, I have not been able to find anything and was wondering if anyone here has heard or seen a source for one.

Looked through the thread. That is a nice accessory to go with the keyboard. I am still hopeful to find a keyboard that has the addition of the colored keys with the shortcuts mapped on them specific to VS X2. I found one for Media Studio Pro http://www.worldtechdevices.com/mediastudio.shtml but the keys are not quite right

My apologies if I am not being clear. It appears I might be on a lost hunt.

Many higher level NLEs have available keyboards with the shortcut keys a different color based on Ctrl+ "key" (would be one color) or Alt+ "key" (would be a different color) to exercise the shortcut.
The keys also have additional markings on them to reflect the expected shortcut action. Thus giving the user a visual cue, both color and action, as to what key combination provides what function.

I was hoping one existed for VS X2. Or that one might, through the purchase of printed labels or replacement key caps, make/modify an existing keyboard into one.

You can have several rows of programmable keys and you are provided with key caps that you mark with the keys function




You can have keyboards with various coloured keys




The one's I use at my workplace have two rows of programmable keys above the standard querty keyboard. Each Row is capable of holding 9 levels. In other words each key can be programmed with 9 different sets of key strokes. You would have to search through their sites because they have dozens and dozens of alternative styles of programmable keyboards.

Considering VS is a consumer application I doubt you will be able to find a custom keyboard.
