failed to reuse converted cache file when trying to burn dv.

Post by gilliandell »

I use VisualStudio 9.0
I try to create a dvd disk from several avi files.
After creating a disk, adding files and editing I go to the final step, burning, and then I get the message:

Failed to reuse converted cache file!
Report ID 0x800411da(4570).

On VisualStudio 7.0 and 8.0 it works fine.

Any suggestions?[/b]

Your procedure suggests that you are not following the one recommended in the top post. Try that first.

Hi,

What do you mean?
Where can I find the recommended procedure?

The procedure that has been shown to have the greatest success rate is printed in the sticky post at the top of this forum.

Thanks,

I followed the procedure and now I don't get the :

Failed to reuse converted cache file!
Report ID 0x800411da(4570).

Instead when I hit the burn button I get:

Convert step got some problems! (4101)

Gillian,
The magic word is "Converting." You should never be "converting videos" in the Burn phase. If you follow the procedure exactly, this should not happen. Is your timeline really empty when you SHARE/Create Disk? Are you Custom setting the Burn properties to match your Video File properties?

If so, please list your video capture properties, your project properties (when editing), your property settings when you SHARE/Create Video File, and your property setting when you SHARE/Create Disk. Also, what are your computer specs?

Thanks for the help,

I've had enough with VS9, I have VS7 and 8 installed and I've never had this kind of problem with them.

Basically I'm doing the same thing with all the version, but VS9 keeps making problems.

Thanks,

Gillian
