Hi Folks,

I've been using VS X2 on a cople of projects and my PC got damaged but I have recen backups of all disks.

I had two disks - system and data volumes.

I'm about to try and rebuild the new PC and woul like to know what folders/areas/files I need to restore from the original PC to recover the VS Projects .

If you need any further info please let me know - systems was Windows Vista.

Thanks,

Jim

What you had specified in the Preferences for your Working Folders, is where VS should have saved any project files. So if you had your Working Folder set to "Your UserName/Video/VS 12 Working", that would be one such folder/files you need to restore.

The Libraries for VS are located Local Disk (C: )\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio\ 12.0 (something close to that, I don't have my Vista machine running currently). The Library files are called:
  • VS_Audio.dat
  • VS_Video.dat
  • VS_Title.dat
  • VS_Image.dat
So if you had customized libraries you would need to restore those files.

Well, there's "ini" files all over the place. You might start with the uvs.ini file.
