Setting field order throughout processing

My clips are UFF.
Is there a way to set default template (Project Properties) so that it is UFF, and doesn't revert to default?
When rendering to DVD, should I change default LFF to UFF for best effect?

Unfortunately Corel has removed the option in the Preferences dialog for VS Pro X2, to set the default field order. The only other possibility would be to have the option checked, Show message when inserting first video clip.... At least you're prompted when the project settings do not match that of your video clip.
No the Field Order is to be that of the video clip, not the target output. So if you start with UFF, stay with UFF. The only possible exception would be using non-interlaced (Frame-Based). These clips would be the progressive formats, ie; 1080p. The "P" stands for progressive, where the "i" would be interlaced, requiring the correct field order.

Thanks.
I understand your answer as "when rendering to DVD MPEG file, change setting to UFF".

No, that's not what I stated... Keep the field order the same. If your video clip is LFF, then your DVD should be LFF, if it is UFF, the DVD should be UFF. Reversing the field order can make the resulting video appear jumpy.
