I have Video Studio 11.5+ & I am want to edit items on a DVD, via my computer.

Briefly, I have purchased a Video recorder with a hard drive, and a DVD player/recorder.

I have put some video items onto the hard drive, and then onto a DVD.
The DVD is finalised.

I can copy the files from the DVD to my computer.

How then can I edit these files through Video Studio?

Put the DVD in your computer's DVD tray. From VS, click on the Capture tab. Choose Import Digital Media. This will import the clips from the DVD into VS for editing.

You can insert them into VS by using the Insert DVD/DVD-VR, then press the Import DVD Folders, navigate to where the VIDEO_TS folder is located on the hard drive. You then need to select the box beside the Title(s) and/or Chapter(s) you wish to import. VS will then parse the VOB files located in the VIDEO_TS folder, inserting MPEG-2 video files.
