Data DVD

Post by bafukie »

Hi there, i got to know from a friend saying that Ulead allows me to compile my data media files such as real player and avi file to a dvd. He added that using Ulead movie factory, the dvd that i burned can be played on any dvd player (eg ps2 , standalone dvd player) and not just playable on pc/laptop with dvd rom. Is that true? If it is how do i make such compilation. Thanks

Yes and No.
It depends on how the real media or avi file were created.

Some of those videos can be converted to the DVD video specification
and some cannot because of frame rate, different audio and other
probmatic codecs.

How to do it?
READ the instructions in the MF directory .pdf file.
Goto ulead website for instructions.
It's easier to do that rather than for someone to type in all the steps required
to create a dvd.

Hope this helps,

 Whether or not you can play a certain data type on your DVD player is not up to the burning software but rather to the DVD player you use. For example, one of my 3 DVD players can play jpeg images straight from a data CD or DVD. The others cannot. Check your DVD player manual to see if it can play AVI files. If it can't, then it doesn't matter which software you use to burn it, it won't play
